I have not been around for a couple of days. And I can explain. On Thursday I underwent laparoscopy surgery for Endometriosis and since...I have been recovering.
I went in Thursday at 8am...maybe a bit earlier. They did some pre-op testing again. And at 1pm I went into surgery. I remember talking to my anesthesiologist and she was explaining the procedure in the room. It took her a while to find the vein and finally she got the needle in and I was getting sleepy. They put the oxygen mask on me and the last thing I remember was her saying, "We will take good care of you, see you in the recovery room."
From there, the next thing I remember was waking up in the operating recovery room in the OR. There were many people around me all coming in at the same time.
The nurse was asking me simple questions and I vaguely remember answering her...it all felt like a dream. I remember the guy beside me would not wake up for about 20 minutes, and he had no feeling in his body....could not squeeze the nurses hand or press his feet against her hands. I was guessing he was in for a spinal surgery...but I have no idea.
Shortly after I remember I was leaving that room and sent to another room. I don't remember much except lying in the hallway and then waking up when the nurse told me too. She took my blood pressure and it was low. Soon I fell back asleep and woke up around 7 when my aunt and grandma showed up.
They were allowing me to go home on one condition. I was able to stand up, walk to the bathroom...pee and then walk back. I managed to do that. I got back into bed and started throwing up...but all air from the chemicals.
The drive home was not any better. I was feeling more and more sick throughout the ride home. I got home and threw up several more times. Then I went inside to turn the alarm off. After I managed to eat a quarter of a bowl of cereal before I went to sleep and slept until the next morning.
