Fibromyalgia and other arthritic type pain is caused by many things. Here are some foods that may be triggering points (or at least points that make things worse).
- Caffeine: This triggers the exhaustion symptom (seen in Fibro, Chronic Fatigue and many others that a symptom is exhaustion). Why? This is seen as a self-medicated help. For some you may feel 'better' temporarily but other times...you feel like shit. Try cutting coffee out for two weeks and see if it makes a difference.
- Carbs: I know this one will be a pain in the ass to cut out. I have the most trouble with it and hell, I rarely cut it out. Reason being? I live with a family who does not fully understand what I have so it is nearly impossible. I feel like if I were living on my own it would be easier...and maybe not? But if you are suffering and want to give it a try go ahead and see if it will help you.
- Fake sugar/ drink flavors/ carbonated drinks. No more coke, no more flavored water or ice tea or "splenda" in a tea. Go for Stevia for sugar and for the rest if you want flavor cut up some cucumber or any fruit/vegetable and put it in your water to let sit. A lot healthier and cleanses a lot more.
